Now days the iPods will at least have 8 GB memory, thus the memory size should not be a problem for you to worry about. What matter to you might be the weight of it.

i really don't care about all the features. i just want something to play songs. its so hard to find a simple device these days that does only that. but thanks for your info.. i think i'll get the nano... the classic is too bulky and heavy for me...
